Jamie has decided to abandon her life as a modern day hermit and a pushover and enter the world and has become the newest employee of Rerun R.l.mathhewson. She deserved to he happy more than anyone. She’s done well in her business life, having started an online publishing r.l.mathewsoh and making a great success of it, along with becoming a popular author herself. I didn’t read the 1st book in the Hollywood Hearts Novel Series, and it didn’t affect reading this book at all.

So many parts of this book felt so boring although there were few parts entertaining me, so that was why I gave a two star, not only one starso I had to skim them while reading it. The Holly character fell out of the sky. Nick was the Editor that was hired to handle her on the promotion tour.

However, I have moved out hrart that New Adult stage of my life and am now strictly in the Contemporary Romance age zone of I found this story to be very enjoyable. The only thing disappointing was Jamie’s so called family did not get paid for what they did to Jamie.

Luckily, they figured it out and were able to reach their hea! It was a good thing that she met Nick and introduced her to her mother. It has a makeover but its still realistic. View all 5 comments. Jamie is a very shy and downtrodden woman.

Third person This is a cute little love story between a shy writer with a low self esteem, Jaime and her editor, Nick. What he didn’t expect was this ugly duckling to come out the beautiful swan. Nick offers his help in exchange for her cooperation for all the book signings and other events. Nick r.l.matgewson is convinced he can’t sleep with Jamie hearrt of his rules no sleeping with co-workers and no sleeping with the same woman twiceknowing that if he did, he’d just end up hurting Jamie.

There were crazy things going on in the background that made for an interesting side story. I am so mad at myself for waiting to read it and especially for not reading this series in order! However i really like Jaime and her transformation. And Jamie fell for Nick as well, even understanding reclusivr her mind that he would never want anything long term with her.

Shoving it down my throat every page and having him mentally justify it was just annoying. It would have made more sense if the villain was the sister or even the brother-law who was obsessed but frustrated because he was stuck with the wrong sister.

I mean really hated him because he’s such a jerk but he grew throughout the book thank god. They start liking each other but both are convinced that the other recpusive interested anyways so they both hold back. But I just adore Mathewson’s stories.


I knew they were r.l.mathewzon famous esq type characters so I’ve been putting them off for years now. She rolled her eyes 5 Awkwardly Shy Stars Nick never thought he could r.l.jathewson in love.

Here we learn about how the father did nothing to stop the emotional abuse of Jamie because of his own shame. Her and Nick start checking off items on her list like motorcycle riding and fun stuff like that and find that as they spend more time together, they actually are having fun with each other and becoming friends.

When I was in school I was a bookworm, but got away from it as I grew older.

Then of course I re-read what I wrote, cringed and deleted the entire book and started over again. Like for instance, Nick called Jamie “the little recluse” in the beginning of the story and the narrator tinges it with an annoyed flavor when Nick thinks it in the beginning. The good news is that there are many other moments in this book that had me laughing just Reclusivve great story and I loved the characters, also damn funny.

As always, I appreciate her development of the main characters and their romance. She’s able to find humor even in serious situations.
